Images taken between 2004-2005 were made with a Mamiya 645 camera. I switched to digital capture in 2006. Since 2012, I have worked almost exclusively with the Nikon D800e.
I try to work simply and carry minimal equipment, I often only carry a single lens, with the 70-200 f4 being my primary mountain photography lens.
My goal is to create an intimate portrait and to tell a complete visual story of the entire Alaska Range. Below is a small selection of images that stretch back to 2006.
Do you want to support this project and own some nice photography?
You can order fine art prints directly from me. Each print is printed using the finest quality materials and are of the highest archival standard. The largest size I print is 16×23. If your interested in a print, printed and signed by me, email at: carl@photographalaska.com
